Sad that Motown never released the album that this song was on. The album was incredible display of her artistry. I’m happy that this found its way to you tube.. still the best version. @1:07 thats SWEET LOVE by anita baker.. that rhythm .. how the bass is playing... the choice of instruments, and synths.. the rhythm. Its the chorus of "sweet love"... just playing different chords. but this woman did it first

can you hear "sweet love" in the chorus? so anita not only covered "you bring me joy" but her producer also took elements from the woman in other places.. smh

It's 'funny' that I hated this song when I was younger..; (thought it was too slow and kind of boring[; but, now, I love it!! I appreciate her lower registry and her voice control on every single note!

I wish people would realize this video is about Chante no need to mention other artist thats not even in the video.
